5 Klaviyo Flows Most Accounts Are Missing

Published Aug 8, 2026

After auditing Klaviyo accounts for over a decade, the same gaps show up again and again — even in accounts that otherwise look well set up. Here are the five flows I find missing most often, roughly in order of how much revenue they're usually leaving on the table.

1. Browse Abandonment

Almost every store has abandoned cart set up. Far fewer have browse abandonment — the flow that triggers when someone views a product but never adds it to cart. This audience is earlier in the funnel and colder than cart abandoners, but it's also usually much larger. Skipping this flow means ignoring the biggest group of people who showed real interest in a specific product.

2. Win-Back / Sunset Flow

This is the flow that quietly protects the rest of your account. Without it, cold subscribers keep receiving every regular campaign indefinitely — which drags down your open rates, increases spam complaints, and hurts deliverability for every email you send, not just to that segment. A proper sunset flow identifies genuinely disengaged subscribers, makes one last attempt to re-engage them, then suppresses them from regular sends.

3. Post-Purchase Upsell/Cross-Sell

Most accounts have a basic order confirmation, but that's not the same as a real post-purchase flow. A good one follows up days or weeks later with relevant product recommendations based on what was actually purchased — timed to when a repurchase or complementary product actually makes sense for that item.

4. Replenishment Flow

If you sell anything consumable (skincare, supplements, coffee, anything with a natural reorder cycle), a replenishment flow triggers around when the customer is likely running low — not on a generic schedule, but based on the actual product's typical usage timeline. Most accounts selling consumables don't have this at all.

5. VIP / Loyalty Recognition Flow

A flow that identifies your highest-value customers (by spend, order frequency, or both) and treats them differently — early access, a genuine thank-you, something beyond the standard campaign calendar. Most accounts talk to every subscriber the same way regardless of value, which leaves real loyalty-building revenue on the table.

Missing even one or two of these is common — but each one represents real, ongoing revenue impact, not a minor gap. If you want to see exactly which of these your own account is missing (plus everything else in a full account audit), Fluxchek scores this automatically in about 60 seconds.
